We miss you Daddy

We talk to Daddy everyday a few times a day on the phone. JT thinks Daddy is on the camera. Notice how he holds an "air" phone up to his ear to talk to his Daddy. PRICELESS! JB, I even tried to bribe him with food today to get him to say "Momma". SIGH... hopeless. If I throw a random party or you see me on the funniest home videos it will be because JT finally says "Momma". I even asked the Dr. this week if it was normal and okay. He assured me it was and said he was doing it on purpose (a glimpse of his little personality). The Dr. said "Momma" and then JT said "Daddy". Everyone thought it was sooooo funny. I was not laughing :(

We are are counting down the hours- LITERALLY! Mommy is tired, the kids are so over my OCD routines, and we all have terrible colds. Be safe. We love you!

Ice Cream and a Slumber Party

Kate got to have a slumber party with Grandma and ice cream with Papaw. She is always looking for someone to spend the night with. She tries to tell us what her plans are for the weekend and we constantly have to disappoint her by making her spend time with us boring parents. I don't know weather to have hurt feelings or to celebrate her independence? Here's the scoop (ha! get it?)... She just had to buy Papaw an ice cream set for his birthday back in December. It was a cute set with waffle cone shaped bowls, toppings and an ice cream scoop. I remembered eating ice cream with my other grandfather all of the time when I would spend the night (vanilla ice cream from the big tub with strawberry sauce- YUMMO!) so I knew I couldn't resist her insistance. She said they would be having pink and purple ice cream. I told her that I was pretty sure they didn't have purple but pink would work. Well, Papaw was sick and then we made him sicker with our super tummy virus so her plans had to wait a little while. FINALLY, Grandma invited her to spend the night on Friday and off we went to get ice cream. To my shock I found PURPLE ice cream (Black Berry Cobbler)! I bought pink (strawberry) and brown (chocolate) too. I had to resist staying the whole evening and snapping a photograph of their every bite. I left my camera instead so all photos are courtesy of Grandma :) As you can tell they ENJOYED their ice cream! ...and Kate enjoyed her evening away from us.

JT's Party Pics FINALLY

I tried to make these pics fancy but I think some of them are hard to read. I apologize in advance :) JT had a great 1st birthday party. Many, many family and friends came. I always said I would take as many pics of my 2nd childs' events as I did Kate's... I have a confession... I have fallen into the "2nd baby and less pictures" category. You can clearly tell from all of the people that you don't see pictured here that were in fact there and the lack of decor photographs. Dang! I spent a lot of time on that stuff :( Anyhow, a BIG thanks to everyone that came! Birthdays are a huge deal to me because it reminds me of yet another year that we are blessed to be with each other and all of the family and friends that come out are a reminder of that fact. Enjoy the photos!

JT's Bday Dinner

It was freezing cold and rainy on JT's birthday. In fact, many schools had to be closed and our school opened late due to the weather. We decided to stay close to home and donate to our local community for JT's birthday dinner. Luckily, we have yummy food right up the road! He doesn't really care where we eat as long as we EAT.

A snowball fight with Uncle Brandon
...and if you look closely you can see the snowball in the air that ended up hitting Kate in the head and ending the snowball fight. She was upset because her hair got wet.
