Movies with Bailey and TJ

This post in very much out of order. It is actually from August and somehow I left it out. Needless to say, we went to see Cloudy With A Chance of Meat Balls with Bailey and TJ. It was a very cute movie and the kids loved it! Kate dressed herself in all her glory;) Kate didn't really understand the 3D glasses. All she cared about was that they kept falling off.
Kate was ready to catch a meatball and gobble it up!

Falling Star Ranch

Over Thanksgiving break we went to the ranch with my Dad and Laura. Dad named the ranch and designed the very cool sign. It was the first time JB and I have been out of town together since our honeymoon and the first time we have ever taken a trip as a family. It was a much needed mini vacation and we had a blast! On the first day we went fishing. JT desperately wanted to jump in the water so we had to lock him up in the baby jail aka playpin. We were having so much fun that we stayed out there most of the afternoon. JT and Kate were a little grumpy by the end but it was nice to have screaming kids but no dirty looks because we were the only people around. I am sure the deer thought monsters had taken over their land :)
Miss Kate ready to go take her nap. It was a beautiful day!

These were some strange looking goats.
On that evening we went to town and ate chili and stew at the firestation.

Kate and JT loved modeling their pig ears.
JT in his camo Santa hat!

On the 2nd day Kate and Grandaddy drove around the tractor.

My 2 favorite men!

JT and Kate riding in the tractor.

Kate in the giant tractor wheel

My favorite pic of all time of JT in the tractor wheel. He was so excited to stand in it!

Kate climbing up the ladder to the deer stand.

The beautiful mountains behind the food plot. JB did actually shoot a deer. Kate wanted to see it but my Dad was worried that it would traumatize her. I have to admit Kate kind of has morbid curiosity though. If you know JB, Kate will have to get used to it because hunting will always be part of her life. I told her to remember that God gave us animals to eat. She went outside and saw the deer hanging up but she didn't mind at all. I did make her come in before they actually gutted it. When we came home she was excited to show everyone the deer but she was not very happy that we gave it away. No, I did not shoot anything. I have a rule, if I don't eat it I won't kill it.
HI deer!
The pond where we went fishing. We actually caught a couple of large fish. I left my camera on the pier though and didn't get any pictures. Dad actually got stuck in mud up to his knees catching a fish and JB had to pull him out. I soooo wish I had taken a picture!

This is the best! We rode around for hours looking for deer to show Kate but we didn't get to see anything (probably because we were so loud). It was very relaxing to ride around in the warm weather and the kids just fell asleep:)
Cute kiddos but JT was determined to harm the poor turkey. Good thing it's neck was flexible!

Grandaddy deer!
JT deer!

And finally a Kate deer!

I guess we won't give these 3 away;)

Thanksgiving 2009

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and stuffed themselves full! Mimi and Bachi came to eat Thanksgiving lunch with Kate Grace at school.
She is so lucky her Aunt Sue came too. I think Aunt Sue actually had to go to 3 Thanksgiving lunches :)

I escaped from 2nd grade for a moment to see Miss Kate in her classroom.
Kate showing Mimi her name on the wordwall.

On Friday her class had a small program where they sang a few songs and told what they were thankful for.
Here is Kate holding up the sign for "We Give Thanks". She did it perfectly on time!
Grandma came to watch. They each drew a picture of what they were thankful for and told about it. Kate's picture actually says she is thankful for mommy but, when it was her turn to talk she decided to change it to Grandma :).

Daddy came too!

Kate is showing off her picture that we made on the computer. It says, "I am thankful for my brother because we love to tickle each other."
On Thanksgiving day we went to eat lunch with the Brewer's and dinner with Mom, Nana and the rest of the family. Uncle Ron has sheep and goats. They got a new baby goat and JT loves it. He banged on the door until we let him out to see it. This goat should be very afraid because "Destructo Boy" is near! Luckily JT was nice and did not bite the goat or throw anything at it :)

A great picture of Gram and her Great-Grand Babies!

It has been too long

Well, it has been incredibly too long since my last post. It has been quite the adjustment with me going back to work this year. We are all doing great! I love work! Kate loves school! JT loves Grandma! JB says, "Work is work." The following post is a catch up post from August to October. We have some really fun November pics but I will post those separately. Enjoy (it may take you awhile)!Lunch for Papa's bday! It was during restaurant week and I don't remember the name of the restaurant but they served tons of meat.
The whole family!

Our family

I am teaching 2nd grade in Sunnyvale this year and I love it. It is a very tight community and there are lots of family activities at the schools. This was our first pep-rally at our new highschool. It was "Meet The Raider Night". Kate was bitten by the cheerleader bug! She seriously wakes up doing cheers. She has been to several pep-rallies since and one football game.

JT and Daddy enjoying the pep-rally

The football coaches were attacked with toilet paper :)
Bailey went to cheer camp this summer and they performed their dance at the pep-rally.

Kate spent the night away so we took a trip to the park with JT. He is quite the entertainer;)

...so is his Daddy

Learning to walk.

As JB would say, "My buddy and me..." I won't sing the rest :)

JT is a food disposal. He eats us out of house and home. He even begs for food like a dog.

His favorite- BANANAS

Another day at the park with both kiddos.

Kate snacking on her usual.

It's never too early to try;)

Kate's 1st day of school. She is in Pre-K at my school. I see her all of the time and it is such a blessing! These are 2 of her 3 teachers. She is the youngest and the smallest but don't worry she causes her own share of trouble. My favorite story so far... I happened to be walking past her classroom when I heard them finish singing a song. I heard Kate say, "Hey, I know a song that my Mommy taught me." Her teacher asked her to share with the class. Kate proudly lead her whole class in "Jesus Loves Me". It was sooooo cute. Several teachers had to stop and listen. Her teacher on the left (Mrs. Knight) and her family are missionaries in Africa during the summer. It is public school so we find creative ways to let our kids share the Lord with each other.
This was her project for the first day of school. She had to pick 2 things to show the class that described her. I think she did a pretty good job considering her life is dancing, tutus, pink, and sparkle shoes.
JT's first official haircut. I say "official" because I actually gave him his 1st haircut but we won't talk about that. We took him to the barber in Casa View Shopping Center that my brother and JB went to when they were kids.

He has no idea what is coming...

He was a little squirmy but overall he did a good job. Now he goes to Kate's kiddie haircut place so he does better.

This poor guy was trying to get his attention so he would be still. It didn't work on JT but it worked on us :)

Well, it finally happened... Kate acknowledges that her brother exists! When he was a couple of months old Kate used to put blankets over his head when he was crying so she didn't have to listen to it. Once, she even sat on him because he was crying during Little Einsteins. I was really wondering if she would ever like him. He is 9 months old in this picture so it only took her the length of a pregnancy to get there. One Sunday afternoon she asked if JT could play in her room. He followed her in there and they played together and laughed for 2 hours:) We checked on them several times to make sure no one was torturing the other.

He loves to crawl all over her!

She pays him back with a good tickle:)
Halloween get together at Grandma's house. The amount of kids in this picture just about doubled. We had 3 new additions to the family. They each have their own fun little personality. Kate Grace, Austin, Hailey, Jack, JT, Carsyn and Calista.

The new kids on the block. JT, Jack, Carsyn. JT is the same in this picture as the one above. He always has to pull on someone. Lucky for him the other 2 have better manners.

It's the Cowardly Lion and Dorothy!

ROAR!
YUM! We had yummy cookies with icing. I gave Calista way too much icing but she loved it (Sorry Laci :)).

This was from our church carnival at Bass Pro. We don't live in a neighborhood so we do all of our candy shopping there :)

TRICK- OR-TREAT

Bailey and Kate Grace

We are trying to teach Kate to clean her room. We used to sing songs to get the job done but she has outgrown them. I don't think we have the same vision of the word "CLEAN".

HMMMM, I think I get what she was going for.
She said, "Look, the floor is clean."

She is correct. I guess I can at least vacuum.
