Funny Stories (If you think my stories are funny. If not, then shush and keep it to yourself.)
1. So this was supposed to be a secret right? Well, once again I will state that I DID keep the secret. Kate Grace is a different story. JennySue ended up being in the hospital for gallbladder surgery (JS-sorry I just told everyone your bizness) on Father's Day. Kate Grace was very concerned for her and wanted to go sing her a song and pray for her. Not kidding. She did both. BTW- She comes up with her own ballads. After that she said and I quote, "And Aunt Kelly has a baby in her tummy." I told her that was a secret and she wasn't supposed to tell but she was a little excited. Sorry Brandon and Kelly. At least the Gleaves' didn't tell.
2. I called my Mom to slyly see if she knew yet. I asked if she had talked to B & K and she said not really all coy like. Then she says, "So their having a baby!" I think we were both trying not to spill the beans to each other but we both already knew teeheehee ;)
3. On Monday Grandma called me. She told me we needed to start planning. I acted like I didn't know what she was talking about. She said, "For this new baby that Brandon and Kelly are having." Whew! I didn't spill the beans on that one either.
4. One day Krystal texted me and asked if it was Kelly's bday. I said nope but was wondering why she asked. She texted me again and asked if it was their anniversary. Then, I started to think that maybe she knew something was up. For some reason Facebook popped into my head and I thought CRAP someone spilled the beans on FB. Then, I remembered that B& K did get married in the summer time because I was ginormously preggers with Kate at their wedding. So I gave Brandon a call and asked if it was their anniversary. Indeed it was! It turns out people were leaving them well wishes on FB and Krystal saw it and was wondering what she was wishing them well for. Whew! I almost spilled the beans on that one.
5. Now to the drama that is Miss Kate Grace. About once a week she will ask me about the little bambino.
Kate-When's it coming out of her tummy? Is it a boy or a girl? Where's it going to live? At our house right?! insert sound of squeeling brakes here
Me-Whoa whoa WHOA! Hold up little missy. Let me explain something to you. That baby is in Kelly's tummy and when it comes out it is going to their house. I repeat THEIR HOUSE NOT OURS.
Kate-But I want it to live at our house like JT did.
Me-First of all JT came out of Mommy's tummy. Second of all, why on earth would you want that? You DID NOT like him when he came to our house. In fact, he was 9m old when you acknowledged his existence.
Kate-Well then are you gonna have another baby in your tummy that we can bring home insert the sound of 1000 squeeling brakes here?
Me-Umm negative, nope, not gonna happen. You have a baby to play with Kate.
Kate-But Mom, he's a big baby and he hits me and bites me.
Me-Sorry for your tough luck hunny.
And FINALLY since you are all tired of listening to me I want to give a little shout out to Kelly. You see, Brandon is the last STARK. EEK! Poor Kelly. No pressure or anything. I too had that oh so fun pressure from my hubby that he WOULD be having a boy and he didn't care if that meant 4 kids. Let me tell you folks that I was so glad we had Kate Grace first. If I had JT first, one of us would have been getting fixed permanently (not that we don't just adore him). So either way boy or girl, pink, blue, green or yellow we can't wait to see this little one! Really there is no pressure because God will give you the baby you are meant to have. And if the rest of you folks know me you know I am C-R-A-Z-Y especially when it comes to party planning. I've got the whole baby shower planned. Yes-REALLY. I am NOT kidding folks. Gender neutral with sweets galore. Getting the picture? Not really? Well then I guess you will have to come and see:)
And that will be all for the Amber show today.
Thanks for stopping by!!!
