Looking at the BIG fish tank with Daddy.  JB used to have a large tank with exotic fish when she was a baby and it was a great way to calm her when she was upset :)

Lucky for us she bought this FANTASTIC monkey that cries and screams when it wants to be fed its banana. WHAT WERE WE THINKING???

Now I remember… she was a little overwhelmed with all of the noise and she would watch the animals and wait for them to come on so they couldn’t surprise her.  Poor thing couldn’t even eat bc she was so concerned about the animals :(.  We bought her this monkey bc we call her our monkey and it gave her something else to focus on.  Strangely she didn’t seem to mind the noise if it was coming strait from our table.

She is not a big fan of men that are strangers but she was very brave and asked the balloon artist to make her a pink kitty.  She paid him the money and everything!

Kitty and Monkey were friends for a short time till Kitty deflated.

Happy Birthday Kate Grace

It is so hard to believe that our little princess is 3 yrs. old today! I will have many more pics to post later of our activities from today but just wanted to start by sharing her bday pics taken by Tiffany- Rosies N Posies. Kate was very specific about her party this year- PINK! So we are having a pink candy party. Don't worry there is nothing wrong with your computer. Everything really is pink! The first few pics were taken at Party City in their new candy aisle and the outdoors pics were taken at JB's Uncle Mike and Aunt Kathy's house in the pecan orchard. Hope you enjoy!Notice the Charlotte (dog) in her basket. She now seems to be a fixture in the bday pics every year. This is not the original one bc lately she has preferred the non-scraggly one.

Wiggles LIVE

On Saturday we kicked off our 2009 Summer Staycation! We had a special treat and went to see Wiggles Live! The tickets were from JB's work so they were free which made it even better:) Cheese with Daddy!

Uncle Dana Visits

Uncle Dana came to visit! He is in the military (Air Force) and he is almost always overseas so his visits are few and sometimes far between. It has been about 1 1/2 years since we saw him last. Dana is my Mom's brother and he is sometimes mistaken for Brandon. Kate saw him once before but she was very young so when she saw him this time and we asked her who he was she said "Uncle Brandon!" Family Pic! We all met up in Fort Worth and ate at a FABULOUS restaurant called Joe T. Garcia's. It was outdoors and I have to say the atmosphere is one of the best I have experienced. It is near the stockyards so you should try it out sometime:) Mom had spent all weekend with Uncle Dana and she had to work so she missed out on dinner.

HE STOLE MY CAKE

Mimi will be making Kate's birthday cake this year. It has to be wheat/gluten free so that Kate can eat it. I was very sceptical about how good a wheat/gluten free cake could be so my Mom did a test run for us. It has fresh strawberries in it and a whipped cream icing. It was very very yummy! I have to say it is probably better than I could have bought from the bakery!The other morning Kate asked if she could have a piece of her cake so I said sure. I gave her a piece in a bowl and then stayed in the kitchen to put the rest away. Kate came running back in the kitchen and said, "He stole my cake!" JT loves to steal his sisters food so some how he managed to take the bowl from her and dig in. I was able to retrieve the bowl and fork but the cake was a total loss...

Another funny story... A few weeks ago Kate was walking around with a cheese stick. She walked past JT and of course he spotted it. He reached up and grabbed her dress to pull her to the ground. Once he got her down close enough he grabbed her hair and pulled her all the way down and took the cheese stick! She was not a happy camper :(. No, I did not let him eat the cheese. Yes, I did just sit there and watch it happen bc I was in total shock that he could even do it. Since he is moving around so well now we have to guard Kate while she is eating! Poor sister this little guy will harass her for the rest of her life.

Last Friday we had a party for JB and a few other friends that were having birthdays in the month of July. The party was at JB's sister's house.JT is always reaching for something that belongs to his sister:)

If you follow our blog you may remember the crazy blue bird that Mimi sent Kate. At the end of that posting Kate Grace asked Mimi for the lion next. SURPRISE...Mimi sent the LION! When I told Kate that she had mail she knew exactly what it was. Never make this little missy a promise you can't keep bc she has a crazy memory!
