Where Oh Where Have We Been

Where oh where have we been??? This post is waaaaaay overdue! I will explain where I have been for the last 2 months in a later post (it's a long, involved story). Please enjoy our blog montage of our last 2 months.
It is in order from oldest to newest.
WARNING: You may want to get a beverage, snack, and comfortable seating.
Just a suggestion.

Valentine cards and money from Nana! A continuation of our snowday pics. The snowgirl I built wasn't good enough. Apparently there is a method for rolling snow into giant balls. Now I know.

Much better. Bay-Bay Snowgirl version 2.0

Valentine's with Mimi
Valentine's with Mommy and Daddy. The sayings are VERY fitting.

Congrats to Papaw and Grandma on 50 years of marriage! AWE-SOME!!!

First nice weather day of the year.

RIP Bruiser:( These are pics of Bruiser's last week with us. She had cancer. She was JB's first dog and I am pretty sure he may have loved her more than he loves me. Which may or may not be because she never mouthed back like a certain someone. She was the best dog in the world! Kate had questions, JT didn't seem to notice, the rest of us cried like babies.

We miss her VERY MUCH!

Aunt Krystal invited us to a festival. The kids had a blast!Maybe if I can fit through these bars I can jump on a ride...Or maybe Mom and Dad will find the only ride I am big enough to ride on.Kate's class took a trip to the zoo this week.

Early Valentine's Day

JB misses me so much that he decided to start Valentine's Day early this year. Here is how it went.
Ms. R (front office lady at school)- "Mrs. Brewer, you have a perishable package here in the office."
Me- "Hmmm. I am pretty sure the binders, file folders and cardstock I ordered are not perishable."
Walk to front office.
Me- "Berries? I guess one of the parents sent them for our Valentine's party."
Off to car duty and then back to office.
Me- "Sweets for my sweetie? I sure hope these aren't from a parent..."
YUMMO! Chocolate covered strawberries are my fave! How much do I like them you ask??? JB came home today (Friday) and noticed 4 were already eaten.
JB- "Did you eat all 4 or did you share some with Kate?"
Me- "I ate all 4. Why would I share them with Kate??? They're MINE. Don't touch them! I don't share those!"
JB- mentally: "Crazy female geez." Outloud: " I was just askin. I bought them 4 you and you can eat them all my dear."
Me- "That's good bc I will."

I love cheescake too but I will share those. I'm a heffer but I'm not that stingey.

And that's not all...
Thursday 8PM phone call to JB...
Me- "No school tomorrow."
JB- "Oh I guess we have to go pick up those flowers I was having delivered to the school tomorrow."
We did and they were my fave tulips!
They weren't opened up all the way yet so I will post a photo later.
Seriously, I must have been really nice this year.

SNOW DAY

It has now officially snowed 3 times in one winter! INCREDIBLE! 12 1/2 inches WOW! This was the best snow day ever! Well, actually all of these pics were from yesterday (Thursday) but today was awesome too. Kate woke up at her usual 5am yesterday as I was watching the morning news. She saw all of the snow on tv but she didn't realize it was at her house too. We went to let Charlotte out once it was light outside and Kate said, "Oh my goodness! That is so so cool! How did God do that? Does he have a magic wand?" This is the only pic I could get of JT. He hated the snow. He is just like his Momma. Well, let me re-phrase... I do not hate snow. In fact I think it is the coolest thing ever. I do however hate cold weather. Despise, hate, extremely dislike, detest. I think that sums it up. Did I mention I had car loader duty after school yesterday and I was soaked up to my knees and could not feel my hands, feet or face? Who WOULD like that? I'm just sayin.
Dear God,
Does it snow in Heaven? If it does could you please make it about 70 degrees when it does snow? Us crybabies could really enjoy it then. We heard you can do anything. I don't think that request is unreasonable. Just askin.
Love, JT and his Mom
Amen.

We drive by this contraption everyday. I always think it looks soooo cool. I am not sure what it is. When we saw it on the way to school yesterday we had to stop and take a photo. It just screamed 'picture perfect'!

Our street!

Kate begged to build a snow person. I braved the cold which I mentioned I seriously dislike and we built the best snow person I was capable of building in 5 min. Kate decide it was a snow girl and her name is "Bay-Bay Snow Girl". She let her borrow some of her things. She really wanted to stay outside and play with her but I figured it would be child abuse if I let her stay out in the freezing cold when she was soaking wet up to her waist. She didn't seem to mind. In fact, Kate love love loves the snow. She would have stayed out all day. We went in and looked out our big window at BBSG but there was a problem. It kept snowing and snowing. By the time we were going to bed BBSG was covered in snow and you could no longer see her FABULOUS ensemble. Kate was distressed bc she only meant for her to borrow those items and not keep them forever. I reassured her and off to bed she went. This am she woke up (once again 5am) and was still distressed about BBSG. Daddy to the rescue! JB came home and helped her build a new (and bigger) BBSG. It was dark by the time they finished so I haven't taken a pic yet. Sorry if this creeps you out Bailey.

My students at school came up with what they thought was a great idea. They said and I quote, "How about you stand there and let us (18 of us) throw snowballs at you?" Mrs. Brewer, "Umm, not gonna happen sweetheart." I was not sure how to take that one. I think they like me...

Charlotte, "I ain't going out there lady! Let me pile up the snow over your head and then you can go pee in that."

Thanks God! Great memories to keep forever!

BFF's and a Little Interpretive Dance

Most of you already know that it literally took Kate Grace 9 months (after birth) to accept her brother. I am happy to report that they are BFF'S (Best Friends Forever)! They play hide n' seek, chase, kitchen, and dress up almost everyday. They even hold hands when they are going to go play with each other sigh... I don't know if it will last forever but I sure hope so. The dress up part is my favorite because JT will totally despise us one day for taking these photos. Don't worry Dad (my Dad) JT rips the clippies out of his hair as soon as he can. He is fond of the fairy wand though tehehe! Good thing he isn't a girl because he doesn't like anything on his head at all. If he were a girl rest assured he would have a bow super glued to his head because I AM that crazy:) Enjoy the show they put on for me on Wed.

Brandon, do you remember the games we used to play together? I'm pretty sure they always involved some sort of experiment (at my expense) and you having to hide the phone from me so I wouldn't tell. In case you are wondering... I don't think I have any long lasting ailments from the "bean bag jump experiment". All I can say is we had fun! Dysfunctional? Absolutely!
